More than 200 of Rainbow Village’s closest friends gathered together on Friday, April 17 at the Marriott West Ballroom, where they collectively raised $82,000 to support the organization’s critical mission.  The funds will be used toward the purchase of more homes for people with developmental disabilities, and to keep the 48 neighborhood homes they own comfortable, safe and affordable.

Throughout the evening, attendees enjoyed fine dining, placed bids for a fabulous array of auction items, and mingled with the crowd, which included Missouri Senators Eric Schmitt, Tom Dempsey, Representatives Rick Stream, and Jill Schupp. Fox 2’s Elliott Weiler served as host and donated his time as narrator for the new Rainbow Village video.

Ben Janson was honored with the Tice Humanitarian Award for his commitment to improving the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities. Nancy Parker Tice, immediate past president of Rainbow Village, handled the master of ceremonies duties, and Gene Jacobson served as auctioneer.

Special thanks go to Joan Perry, Vice President of First National Bank, who chaired the event committee that was responsible for creating a beautiful and fun evening. We greatly appreciate our corporate event sponsors:
